There is a place at the foot of the Steenkamps mountains, near the town of Lydenburg where a unique bush lifestyle experience awaits you.

A 4900-hectare private nature reserve with homes aesthetically tucked away into the valleys, gorges, ridges and grasslands of this topographically diverse bushveld paradise.

The wildlife roam freely in their natural environment and endemic flora enhances the beauty of this varied landscape. Wetlands, dams, river frontage and spectacular waterfalls create a haven for birds, animals and fish alike.Historic archaeological sites with rock etchings and engravings and varied rock formations abound.

In this tranquil malaria free setting you can experience; animals walking past your bedroom window, see, hear and smell the freedom of unspoiled pristine bushveld on a morning walk. Hike the gorges and trails and indulge your photographic passion. Leisurely go on your own game drive with family and friends and stop for a picnic at one of the designated picnic sites or jump into the pool at the club house to cool off after mountainbiking or jogging in this stress free and liberating environment. Relax in the bird hide and observe the malachite kingfishers catching their meal or catch your own fish in the dams and rivers. Lounge on your veranda and experience amazing sunrises and sunsets listening to a myriad of bird singing. Starlight nights can be spent around the campfire, “braaing”, counting shooting stars and enjoying quality time spent with loved ones, lulled and sated by the serenity of having experienced this precious time immersed in nature.

Ownership entitles you to sole occupancy of your home on your site any time of the year,as well as joint ownership (shares) of the nature reserve and common property usage areas and facilities. Safety and Security in general and specifically fire and emergency management are paramount and maintained by a well-equipped and caring management and security team. The management team is overseen and enhanced by an annually elected board of directors.

Gazetted Private Nature Reserve since 2013 therefore protected from mining operations.

The 125 demarcated one-hectare sites only make up 2,5% of this wilderness area

Over 250 different regular bird’s species seen with many seasonal visitors and a vulture “restaurant”

Over 15 kilometers of river frontage from two perennial rivers (Dorp and Spekboom rivers) running through spectacular gorges and riverine forests.

There are numerous picnic sites, 4x4 routes, hiking trails, fishing dams, bird hides as well as the keg and Kudu club house and swimming pool that is well established and utilised. A light aircraft landing strip is available on the property next door.

Gate /entry control, general security and anti-poaching patrols assist in maintaining a secure environment.
